Join this long-standing weekly dance class led by Sana Bangoura! Open to all levels, this is a fully drop-in class—come whenever you can.

Each session begins with a fun, energizing warm-up, followed by step-by-step instruction in traditional dances from Guinea, West Africa. Once you’ve learned the movements, everything comes together with live drumming for an electrifying, high-energy experience that will get your heart pumping.

Whether you're brand new or experienced, this class is all about joy, rhythm, and community.

an engaging introduction to the djembe drum. In this class, you’ll learn foundational hand patterns and proper technique while exploring traditional rhythms from Guinea, West Africa.

Each rhythm is taught with its cultural background and significance, giving you a deeper connection to the music. Students will also learn accompaniment patterns as well as solo parts, building both skill and confidence.

Perfect for beginners and those looking to strengthen their rhythmic foundation in a supportive, immersive environment.

Each session begins with a guided warm-up to prepare your body for dynamic movement, followed by a step-by-step breakdown of traditional dance techniques from Guinea, West Africa. This class will challenge both your mind and body—in the best way.

Accompanied by live drumming, the rhythm and energy of the music bring the movement to life, creating an engaging and uplifting experience every week.
